The Little Stream
The little stream laughs as it flows down hill,
The little pebbles on its bed tickle her so.
The sun shining from above warms its water,
And gives it such a wonderful glow.
The trees growing along its banks,
Wave their limbs and leaves in thanks
For the life giving water it supplies.
Across the water skim dragonflies.
Down and down the little stream goes,
Wider and deeper it grows.
Joyfully the little stream sings,
For the life-giving water it brings.
